Royal Conquest was not only designed by Daniel J. Avoures and Assoc, but was built by Daniel Avoures at the yard he then owned in St. Petersburg, Fl.  The vessel was built of double diagonally planked plywood epoxy saturated over fir and oak framing. The entire hull was over layed with a fiberglass skin for abrasion resistance. We have found this method of construction to be economical as well as fast for one off hulls. Royal Conquest was built in 10 months. Composite construction is also light in weight which allowed for economical small engines which give the boat a speed of 9 knots. The hull structure was designed to Lloyds Rules for Wood and Composite construction.

Royal Conquest operates out of John's Pass, Madiera Beach, Fl.
